Who We Are

Don't forget to come to our Doggie-Thon, on June 29th in Marina Park, Ventura, CA. The event will be attended by over 20 dogs, and their owners. Also, Adoni Maropis - more recently known as "Abu Fayed" on the hit television show 24, will be walking with us! Come meet Adoni, who is also a Type 1 Diabetic. You can also participate in our raffle for a TON of great prizes, shop from some of our great vendors, eat some food - or just hang out with us!

This website has been created by Jenn Mueller, and her family on behalf of Heaven Scent Paws, INC. Heaven Scent Paws is a non-profit organization that provides “Pawtners” for people with Type I Diabetes, by training Diabetic Alert Service Dogs. They train Diabetic Alert Service Dogs that both detect & alert their partner and support team (parent, spouse, sibling, friend, etc.) to both hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar levels) in Type I Diabetics.  These dogs save lives!

Jenn is scheduled to go in July of 2008, as an “emergency” addition to their July program, due to the severity of her condition.  They will train her to use the service dog and how to continue the training once she comes home.  The organization does not require Jenn to pay for the dog, but instead asks that she help by fundraising to help defer the costs of the service dog.
